The Centennial Park is a part of Centennial Parklands, which are located approximately 5 km south-east of Sydney’s central business district. It covers 189 hectares of open spaces for recreation and leisure. There is a bike hire shop, BBQ and picnic areas, sport fields, ponds and gardens. Also Centennial Park has three playgrounds and The Ian Potter Children's WILD PLAY Garden.
The WILD PLAY Garden is a nature-play area for children of all ages and abilities. Here kids are encouraged to run, jump, play, learn and discover the wild side of life. There is a water play area, banksia tunnels, a treehouse, a bamboo forest, etc.
