The Museum of the History of Riga and Navigation is located in the Riga Cathedral assembly in the Old Town. The permanent exhibition shows the history of the town and Latvian navigation since 1200 until nowadays. Temporary exhibitions are also held at the museum.
Visitors can see household items, clothes, medals, coins, sculptures, postcards, armour and other things here. Also guests can take a photo in the role of a knight, a drummer or a fair lady. On the ground floor children can paint and make a paper boat and built wooden houses.
Visitors can reserve excursions by phone. Admission is free for children under 6. Family tickets are sold at the box-offices. Please check the working hours on the official website.
